Mohamad Ali El Husseini s speech during his visit to the victims of the genocide of Srebrenica: Religious persecution is denied the right to follow all religions

the scholar Mohamad Ali El Husseini, participated in the delegation of the League of the Islamic World who visited Srebrenica in Bosnia and Herzegovina and visited the site of the massacre committed against Muslims in 1995.

In a speech to him, El Husseini stressed that we are here today as part of a tour that includes several sites that witnessed massacres and crimes of genocide of thousands and millions of people for purely religious reasons, and as a confirmation of our absolute rejection of religious persecution, wherever it is committed or targeted.

He said: The visit to Bosnia after visiting the Auschwitz prison, which witnessed a crime against humanity committed by the Nazis during the Second World War against European Jews, is of great significance as the memorialization of the victims of Srebrenica Muslims falls within the Islamic framework of thought itself to revive the victims of Auschwitz Jews, as well as the victims of any crime Religious persecution in every time and place, which is a purely religious act that is not related to politics and its narrow accounts, or to the relations and interests of states.

Our visits are an Islamic duty towards huge numbers of human beings who were killed without guilt, in line with the Almighty saying: (Do not kill the soul that God has forbidden) and denouncing the crimes against humanity: (Whoever kills a person without a soul or corruption on earth is as if he killed all people and whoever revives them as if I greet all people).

Religious persecution is unacceptable to all religions, and the goals of the Muslim World League’s trips to genocide sites are not only to denounce what happened in the past only, but also because religious persecution remains a formidable challenge in our time, as millions suffer threats to their lives and well-being only because they want to adopt an identity. Certain religions and the practice of their religious convictions, and it is the duty of Muslims to always remind them of their rejecting and condemning stance towards all forms of this persecution.

El Husseini continued: The concept of peaceful coexistence is a principle of Islam, as it is a divine law that aims to preserve the life of mankind, according to controls based on the right to respect and recognize the right of others to a decent life, and it is a doctrinal rule with faith roots that came across a series of divine guidance, so the prophets and messengers came They carry the call of the Lord Almighty to spread the call for monotheism, and to direct the peoples and tribes that the purpose of their creation is acquaintance and coexistence, not conflicts and wars.

In conclusion, Mohamad Ali El Husseini stressed that those who reject these noble and tolerant visits are advocates of extremism and incitement to violence, wars, killing and destruction, in the face of the forces of peace in the world, and in the face of the will of all peoples to coexist peacefully and promote dialogue among religions, civilizations and cultures, all for projects

An exclusive, interest-based political policy that has nothing to do with the true spirit of religions in general, and Islam in particular.
